Holcim celebrates safety milestones at 13 plants

Holcim (US) Inc. announced recently that 13 of its U.S. facilities achieved a milestone in employee safety—specifically no lost-time injuries, during August and September 2011. Facilities reporting no lost-time injuries, and the period of time they have remained so, include: Ada, Okla. (six years); Cartersville, Ga. (six years); Colorado Springs, Colo. (seven years); Fort Collins, Colo. (nine years); Birmingham, Ala. (11 years); Providence, R.I. (14 years); Cedar City, Utah (14 years); Crystal River, Fla. (15 years); Baton Rouge, La. (16 years); Spartanburg, S.C. (21 years); St. Louis, Mo. (24 years); Fremont, Neb. (26 years); and Westlake, La. (31 years).

“Holcim employees embrace the universal safety measures we’ve implemented, and these milestones are more than a point of pride,” said Bernard Terver, president and chief executive officer of Holcim (US). “It demonstrates the fact that our adherence to stringent safety policies and commitment to ongoing training keeps us safe, and with continued vigilance, will continue to do so.”
