Representatives of Titan America attended PCA's fall meeting and announced that the company would join the association effective January 1, 2005. Based in Norfolk, Va., Titan owns Roanoke Cement — with a plant in Troutville, Va. and eight terminals in Virginia and North Carolina — and Tarmac Cement, which operates the Pennsuco plant in Medley, Fla., and terminals in Edgewater and Jacksonville.

Aris Papadopoulos, CEO, will represent Titan America on the PCA board of directors. With the addition of Titan, PCA membership will stand at a record high level of 97.1% of U.S. clinker capacity; in Canada, membership is 100%.
