Jon R. (Randy) Thompson has been promoted from vice president of cement sales and marketing to president of Titan Mid-Atlantic, a division of Norfolk, Va.-based Titan America. A cement and aggregate business veteran of more than 20 years, he succeeds John Summerbell, who had joined Roanoke Cement in 1996 and was named president after the company's Fall 2000 integration into Titan America. Titan Mid-Atlantic spans 15 ready mixed plants in Virginia, plus Roanoke Cement, with a 1.3 million-tpy plant and 10 terminals serving Virginia and North Carolina.

Titan America also announced recently the appointment of Dan Osborne as Southern Region sales manager for Titan Virginia Ready-Mix. Most recently, Osborne was district manager of Phoenix Ready Mix in Arizona.
