Effective Sept. 1, Suwannee American Cement joined the Portland Cement Association. A joint venture between Brazil's Votorantim Cimentos and Anderson Columbia Construction, Suwannee operates a 750,000-ton-capacity plant in Suwannee County, Fla., which began operation earlier this year. Bram Vermeulen will represent the company on PCA's board of directors.
