PCA's Creighton announces retirement

Effective Dec. 31, 2003, Richard Creighton announced his retirement as president of government affairs in Portland Cement Association's Washington, D.C. office. Creighton served as president of the the American Portland Cement Alliance from 1993 to 2002, when the group became part of PCA. He also headed its predecessor organizations, the American Cement Alliance and the American Cement Trade Alliance from 1985 to 1993.

His tenure within the cement industry caps a long and successful career in the construction industry and association management. Prior to 1985, he was employed by the Associated General Contractors of America, first as an assistant in the highway department and eventually as its executive director.
