Through Jan. 15, the Portland Cement Association Educational Foundation is accepting nominations for Research Fellowships offering graduate students in engineering and physical sciences $20,000 for tuition and other expenses. Each year the Foundation awards students working on projects related to cement milling, concrete technology, residential, public works, masonry, and engineered structures.
The fellowships are open to any student completing studies towards a masters or doctoral degree from an institution of higher education within the U.S. or Canada that is accredited by a regional or national agency. Applicants must be pursuing graduate study in an engineering, science, material science, or architectural program. Award determinations will be announced in June 2006, with stipend payments forwarded directly to the universities. Entry forms are available for download at www.cement.org Additional information can be obtained from PCA's Steve Kosmatka, (+1) 847-972-9164; skosmakta@cement.org
