To better unify government affairs programs with promotion efforts, the Portland Cement Association's Board of Directors voted to dissolve the American Portland Cement Alliance and make its programs and operations part of PCA. The move came at the board's Spring meeting in Chicago. The APCA had represented the industry in Washington, D.C., since 1993. The group's new Washington office will operate now as the Government Affairs division of PCA and report to PCA President John Gleason Jr. Member representation and governance will be handled through the Government Affairs Council.
