The Board of Directors of Holcim Ltd. has taken note of THOMAS SCHMIDHEINY's decision not to resume the Chairmanship of the company. Until the annual general meeting of June 4, 2003, DR. WILLY KISSLING will continue to perform this function. The board acknowledged that Schmidheiny as principal shareholder remains a member of the board and is committed to his industrial holding in Holcim.

At the Portland Cement Association, MIKE COLLIGNON was named program coordinator, residential; JAMES A. FARNY was promoted to program manager, masonry and specialty products; DIANE NOWICKI was promoted to manager, market research; PAWEL STANKIEWICZ is now software engineer, engineering software group; PAUL TENNIS and was named program manager, cement and concrete technology.
