Doug McIlvaine joined Giant Cement Holding, Inc. as corporate controller and is responsible for leading the company's financial accounting functions and processes. McIlvaine was the business analyst for Asten Johnson, Inc., prior to joining Giant and has more than 23 years of experience in financial, managerial and tax accounting management, business analysis, and process improvements.

Also at Giant Cement Holding, Jeremiah “Jon” Jewett III joined as vice president and general counsel and secretary, and is responsible for handling the company's legal and risk management issues. Jewett was in private practice, specializing in environmental law and general corporate law in Richmond, Va., prior to joining Giant in September 2004. He also served as general counsel to Solite Corp. prior to its acquisition by Giant in 1998, and subsequently as outside counsel to Giant and Solite. Jewett is a former professional staff member of the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.
