St. Lawrence Cement Co. proposed constructing a materials transport system at its Catskill, N.Y., plant. The system would be used to receive as much as 150,000 metric tons of finished cement per year by barge and transport it to the facility's silos. St. Lawrence said this proposal is in no way related to the company's proposal to build a new cement plant across the Hudson River in Greenport, N.Y.
