David C. MacLauchlin joined Dragon Cement and Concrete as a process engineer at the company's Thomaston, Maine plant. His responsibilities will include optimizing current production equipment and taking an active role in the transition from wet process to dry process as part of Dragon's proposed major plant modernization.

Dragon, Maine's largest concrete supplier and New England's only cement manufacturer, produces about 450,000 mtpy at the Thomaston facility.

MacLauchlin previously served as a process engineer with Essroc in Speed, Ind, and as project engineer for Essroc in Logansport, Ind.
