Batch System
DustMASTER's brochure features the company's batch systems, which are used to stabilize waste powders and fine materials, converting them into a uniform, non-dusty product. They also are capable of blending multiple waste streams into a stabilized product. A complete system includes a high intensity mixer, weigh batcher, and water system with programmable controls. According to the company, eight sizes are available with production ranging from 8 to 200 tph. For smaller volume stabilization needs, an 8 cu ft paddle mixer is supplied. The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) published a new standard, No. 575-2000, Bulk Material Belt Conveyor Impact Bed/Cradle. The standard deals with selection and dimensions for impact bed/cradles, which are used to reduce premature idler failure and reduce belt damage. Dust Management
An eight-page brochure discusses the Dust Management program offered through an alliance of Martin Engineering and ONDEO Nalco Co. The program combines Martin Engineering's “pyramid approach” for the control of fugitive material through containment, collection, and suppression, and ONDEO Nalco's DustFoam fugitive dust control agent.
