Lafarge North America's Whitehall cement plant in Pennsylvania recently announced the appointment of Carla Eustache as its new operations manager. Eustache, who joined the company in September 2004, will be responsible for production, maintenance, purchasing, shipping, capital projects, quarry operations, and raw material management for the facility.
Prior to joining Lafarge, Eustache was a business management consultant; taught business management at SUNY-Westchester Community College in New York; and worked as a process engineer, process leader, project engineer, and operational leader for Corning Inc., Corning, N.Y.
Established in 1899, the Whitehall plant is the oldest operating Lehigh Valley cement plant, with more than 90 full-time employees.
