Set to offer a mix of interesting and educational tutorials as well as informative technical papers, the 2007 IEEE-IAS/PCA Cement Industry Technical Conference will be held in Charleston, S.C., April 29-May 3 at the North Charleston Convention Center, located just a few miles from the Charleston International Airport, right off Interstate 26.
According to conference organizers, the exhibit hours have been extended to provide the participants with even more time for important networking; an extensive, four-day spouse program also will be available.
In addition to attending papers, tutorials, committee meetings, and poster sessions, conference guest will have the unique opportunity to tour two recently overhauled facilities near Charleston on Thursday, May 3. The 1.2 million-tpy Giant Cement Harleyville facility completed its recent modernization in early 2005, while the 2.2 million-mtpy Holcim (US) Inc. Holly Hill plant doubled its capacity with its recent upgrade by replacing its two wet process kilns with a new preheater/precalciner kiln and associated crushing, storage, and grinding equipment.
This year's exhibition hall features approximately 130 companies ready to discuss their product and service offerings to attendees. About 30 additional companies will be hosting hospitality suites in meeting rooms in and around the Convention Center.
The Charleston area is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the country, rich in history, tradition, and Southern culture. There is an abundance of recreational possibilities in the Low Country, including deep-sea fishing, intracoastal waterways, beaches, golf, tennis, botanical gardens, plantations, museums, and numerous historical landmarks. Charleston is also a culinary pearl, with a high concentration of fine restaurants located near the downtown area.
What follows is an alphabetical listing of every company exhibiting at this year's IEEE-IAS/PCA conference. Available contact information and booth numbers are provided.
