Holcim (US) named climate leader by EPA

In a ceremony held February 20 at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency headquarters in Washington, D.C., Holcim (US) Inc. was recognized as a charter member and inaugural participant in the agency's Climate Leaders program. Gary Sauer, Holcim's senior vice president of manufacturing, represented the company and was presented with a plaque from EPA Administrator Christie Whitman. Climate Leaders is a new voluntary EPA industry-government partnership that challenges businesses to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions through a comprehensive climate change strategy.
