The directors of Heracles and Halkis, the recently acquired Greek subsidiary of Blue Circle Industries, approved a recommendation to merge the two companies.

Rick Haythornthwaite, CEO of Blue Circle, said, "This merger represents just one of a series of initiatives under way to ensure that the Heracles Group reinforces its position as one of the leading industrial groups in Greece and remains internationally competitive."
