Richard L. Parker was named Plant Manager of Glens Falls Lehigh Cement Co.'s Glens Falls, N.Y. facility on Warren Street.

Parker began his cement career as a mill engineer at Lehigh Cement's Alsen Plant in Catskill, N.Y. He later served as process engineer and production superintendent at Kaiser Cement in California. He also was director of engineering and later general manager of ESSROC's Bath, Pa. facility, and plant manager at the company's Speed, Ind. plant.

Parker recently served as vice president of operations for a major environmental services and waste management company where he was responsible for multi-plant operations and logistics. In 2001, he formed his own firm, providing senior management consulting to material and cement companies.
