Giant plans $100 million Harleyville overhaul

Citing good prospects for the future, Giant Cement plans to spend $100 million on a facelift for its Harleyville, N.C., plant. The facility is putting in a new production line that will replace four wet process kilns. In addition, a new finish mill will also be installed. Construction is set to start in 2003 with production set to begin in 2004.
