GCC Dacotah Cement has ordered a Posimetric feeder to feed the raw aggregate mill at its 1.5 million-tpy facility in Rapid City, S.D. Manufactured by Pennsylvania Crusher, the feeder will replace the hydraulic triple gate system currently being used. Because the new feeder uses no internal flights or vanes to move material while providing a material seal at the feeder inlet, the plant expects to reduce mill air in-leakage while minimizing maintenance and downtime. Installation is scheduled for spring of this year.
