Holcim (US) Inc. Vice President of Environmental Affairs Ruksana Mirza will present “Concrete and Climate Change” as a lead in to this year's Transportation Construction Coalition (TCC) Fly-In, May 8-9. The session and a National Ready Mixed Concrete Association Government Affairs Committee meeting will take place the morning of May 8 at the Fly-In venue, the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Under the “Transportation Investment for a Strong Economy” theme, the main program kicks off with a legislative briefing (2:30 to 5:30 p.m.), followed by a Capitol Hill Reception (6:00 p.m.). May 9 activities include a breakfast program, followed by individually arranged meetings with U.S. Senators and Representatives.
The event provides the concrete and cement industries, as well as other organizations represented by the TCC, with the opportunity to discuss key issues of common interest. Fly-In registration for members of NRMCA, Portland Cement Association and Coalition-allied groups can be completed at www.blueskyz.com/tcc2007. Additional information can be obtained from NRMCA Director of Government Affairs and PAC Activities Kerri Leininger, 240/485-1159; kleininger@nrmca.org.
