Developer and supplier of hazardous waster-derived fuels and other alternate energies, Cadence announced the promotion of Ken Derksen to Chief Operating Officer.

Joining the firm in 1988 as distribution manager and most recently occupying the position of director of operations and commercial development, Derksen will be responsible for enhancing Cadence's business position by building and maintaining strategic relationships and implementing marketing strategies.

Additionally, he will be responsible for marketing the company's patent portfolio of technologies, including Mixing Air and SNCR to the cement industry. He will report directly to Cadence President Theodore Reese, and will serve as chairman of the executive committee.
