Ash Grove enters fly ash joint venture

Overland Park, Kan.-based Ash Grove Cement and Fly Ash Management, LLC, of Topeka, Kan., have launched Ash Grove Resources, LLC, which will supply supplementary cementitious materials including Class C Fly Ash and Ash Grove Durabase CKD (cement kiln dust) to the concrete and building industries from Nebraska to Texas. “There is a strong market demand for cementitious products throughout the Midwest, and Ash Grove Resources will meet those needs,” says Brady Pryor, president of the new Topeka, Kan.-based company.
Ash Grove Resources will supply its Class C Fly Ash from the Jeffrey and Tecumseh Energy Centers in Kansas, as well as from Nebraska City, Neb. (to Kansas and Missouri customers). Its Durabase CKD will be supplied from Ash Grove's cement plants in Chanute, Kan.; Foreman, Ark.; and, Midlothian, Texas.
