One of Brazil's largest construction firms, Corrêa, announced it had come to an agreement to purchase Argentine cement maker Loma Negra for $1.025 billion, according to a report in The New York Times. This move marks the latest in a series of purchases by Brazilian companies of those in neighboring Argentina. With the purchase, Corrêa has doubled its capacity and gain a 48% share of Argentina's domestic market.
