While many companies are eager to have 2009 behind them, others are taking a proactive approach and looking towards the future. 2010 will present some of the most important training opportunities ever seen in our industry, and these opportunities are critical to a company's success.
On March 29, the 52nd Annual IEEE-IAS/PCA Cement Industry Technical Conference in Colorado Spring, Colo., will kick off with a special series of tutorials. Discover what it takes to produce cement under some of the most challenging process constraints with the toughest permit conditions. The GCC Pueblo plant staff has developed an intensive day-long series of invaluable sessions geared specifically for plant personnel. Each session will look at the process, the people, and the equipment--what was designed, operational trials and successes, and final implementation. A critical aspect will be the "lessons learned" open-dialogue portion. This must-attend event is a rare opportunity for unique training of plant personnel. The conference will also be hosting concurrent tutorials covering other key manufacturing topics.
On March 30, the conference will reprise its Environmental Workshop with two of the timeliest issues facing the industry: NESHAP and Climate Change. IEEE will continue to feature dozens of technical presentations and the GCC Pueblo plant tour. More information on and registration for the conference can be found at http://www.ieeepcaconference.org/coloradosprings10.asp
