Cemex celebrated its 10-year anniversary as a public company listed in the New York Stock Exchange on September 9. To commemorate this milestone, Lorenzo H. Zambrano, chairman and chief executive officer of CEMEX, senior management, and employees rang the ceremonial NYSE Opening Bell remotely from the company’s headquarters in Monterrey, Mexico.

“We are honored to celebrate our 10-year anniversary by opening the Exchange,” said Zambrano. “There is no question that listing on the New York Stock Exchange has been rewarding for the company and has given us the opportunity to access a broad, global shareholder base and position ourselves among many of the most prestigious companies in the world.

“Thanks to a dedicated management team, extraordinary employees, and a loyal client base, CEMEX has grown to become one of the top global companies in our sector with a presence in more than 50 countries worldwide. We are very proud of CEMEX’s accomplishments to date and are confident of the company’s prospects in the years to come.”
