Jacqueline Clark, APR, director of communications and public affairs for Ash Grove Cement, was recently honored with the Greater Kansas City chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Roger Yarrington PR Professional of the Year Award. The award, now in its 25th year, recognizes a Kansas City-area public relations professional who demonstrates leadership in communication and contributes time and talent to the community.
Clark was acknowledged for her leadership in Ash Grove’s effective two-way communications program that informs and educates employees, customers, elected and appointed federal, state and local government leaders, and the communities in which Ash Grove operates. PRSA honored Clark for “enhancing the reputation of the public relations profession through her personal achievements and integrity.”
Clark directs Ash Grove’s government affairs, corporate communications, community relations, crisis communications, and political action programs. She has led various boards of directors for public relations, business, civic, arts, education, health and human services organizations, and is a frequent guest speaker on public relations, legislative, and government relations. In 2006, Clark was president of the Greater Kansas City PRSA chapter and earned recognition from PRSA’s national president for her service.
