Terver, Ruiz gain expanded roles in Holcim Ltd., U.S. operations

Waltham, Mass.-based Holcim (US) Inc. President and CEO Bernard Terver has joined the executive committee of Swiss parent, Holcim Ltd., and will assume responsibility for a new Group region encompassing the U.S. and Canadian namesake plus Aggregate Industries (US) and (UK) businesses. The appointment coincides with “Holcim Leadership Journey,” an initiative to streamline and strengthen Holcim Ltd. global operations.

Terver has been at the helm of Holcim (US) since 2008 and Aggregate Industries (US) since 2010. He joined the Group in 1994 as Holcim France acquired his employer, CEDEST. A nine-year tour of duty in Latin American operations led to his Holcim (US) appointment.

Ruiz began with Holcim Group in 1986 as electrical supervisor with Holcim Apasco, Mexico, later becoming plant manager. He moved back to Holcim (US) as senior vice president, Manufacturing, in 2006, transitioning to Sales & Marketing two years ago.
