Cemento Andino Expands Plant

Venezuela’s Industrial Minister Ricardo Menéndez announced that Cemento Andino will expand production capacity at its Las Llanadas, Trujillo, cement plant. A second line will be installed that will increase the facility’s capacity by 1.2 million metric tons (Mt) to 2 Mt.

A meeting has already been held with Chinese partners who will be involved in the installation of the new production line.

The expansion will enhance the region’s economic and industrial development, as well as be in line with the government’s aim to guarantee industrial efficiency and productivity in the country.
